~ WINERY NOTES The wine offers plenty of blue fruit, cassis notes with a distinct dusty minerality. It is very pleasing right now, with no need to age. It will appeal to all those seeking a ready-to-drink, yet intriguing wine. A blend of mostly Merlot coming from 16 hectares of vines planted in clay-limestone soils on a well-drained plateau near the village of St. Antoine du Queyret in in Entre-Deux-Mers. Latrique goes through traditional vinification with cold maceration and aging for 8 months in new barrels.
