Originally famous for being one of the key five varietals permitted to blend in Bordeaux France, Malbec is now known world-wide as Argentina’s noble red. This varietal thrives on sun-drenched days more so than warm climate, with the best examples coming from higher elevations. Flavors of blackberry & plum fruits are accented by violets; while barrel aged versions offer sweet tobacco.
