One varietal with two names and two distinct styles of production. The varietal is a mutation of Pinot Noir that left the grape skins gray in color, hence the ‘Gris’. More often, the Gris style is associated to an opulent, flesh focused style while Grigio highlights refreshing acidity. Always present are flavors of pears, yellow apples & stone fruit.
