Nebbiolo

The allure if the Nebbiolo varietal lies in both flavor and availability, as it produces wonderfully aromatic reds yet thrives in a just a few places in the world.  The hills of Piedmont offer up ideal conditions for the early flowering and late ripening Nebbiolo.  Textbook aromas of rose petals, leather, tar and sour cherry can be found from throughout Piedmont yet the best examples hail from the appellations Barolo & Barbaresco; otherwise known as the King & Queen of Italian wine.
